Visitor to Kambos

This intriguing area close to the archeological site of Skarkos in Ios is reached by paths from the village and port. As can be noted from the photos, the stone structures seem to have been built long ago. One even has a second floor with decorative spaces for ventilation. This was yet another opportunity to include Roxana in a scene of natural Cycladic surroundings and add a human dimension to the display. It wasn’t easy to wear shoes with heels on the rugged terrain, and each shot took a while to organise, though with such perfect weather we were happy to take our time.
